UC-NMR

The UC-NMR Core Facility, housed in the Chemistry Department of the University of Coimbra, offers access to state-of-the-art Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) spectroscopy studies. The facility houses three solution-state FT-NMR instruments operating at proton frequencies of 400, 500 and 600 MHz, a TD-NMR 20 MHz relaxometer and an EPR spectrometer. Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) spectroscopy is a unique non-destructive tool to characterize molecular systems in a wide range of application areas: from analytical chemistry to drug discovery through synthetic organic and inorganic chemistry, supramolecular chemistry, chemical biology, enzymology, catalysis, metabolomics, food sciences, industrial chemistry, and many others. The mission of the UC-NMR Core Facility is to provide researchers and institutions with the expertise, services and tools to carry out state of the art research requiring solution Nuclear Magnetic Resonance spectroscopy. The UC-NMR Core Facility, with its equipment and skilled staff, is available to both academic and commercial users as Service provider or active participant in Research Projects.
